エルゼビア社は2月25日、研究分析ツールSciValの新モジュールSciVal Trendsを発表した。この新モジュールにより、抄録・引用文献データベースScopusとフルテキストデータベースScienceDirectの利用データを元にした研究分析が可能となる。「公開しない（not-publishing）」ため「引用がない(not-citing)」研究者全体の約3分の1を占め、利用指標は影響力のある「隠れた」研究者の動向に洞察を与える。
